OverviewSummary updated

Cash Today Inc. has been in court-appointed receivership since 18 August 2026, when the Court of King's Bench of Alberta pronounced an order appointing MNP Ltd. as Receiver under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 13(2) of Alberta's Judicature Act. The application was brought by Grow Capital Two Inc., which acts as Administrator for the Lenders and holds a general security agreement over all of Cash Today's present and after-acquired property, an assignment of loan receivables, and corporate guarantees from 2327619 Alberta Ltd. and 2327624 Alberta Ltd. The credit facility carried an initial advance of $12,125,000 against a maximum aggregate lender commitment of CDN $50,000,000, capped at 50% of Cash Today's total loan receivables. Grow Capital Two says it cannot verify the company's financial condition because of non-compliance with reporting covenants. The proceeding is active under court file 2603 11676.
