Carrière Sablière Principale Lachute Inc. and 9403-2216 Québec Inc. have been under interim receivership under section 47 of the BIA since June 23, 2026, with an order dated July 23, 2026 and a stay extended to September 11, 2026. A combined statutory balance sheet as at May 31, 2026, prepared on book value from unaudited internal information, shows total assets of $7,962,477 — the quarry at $6,300,000 and receivables of $1,662,477 — against total liabilities of $15,504,286. Royal Bank of Canada holds term loan debt of $5,762,977 owed by 9403 with CSPL as guarantor, secured by movable and immovable hypothecs. Both debtors also guaranteed the obligations of Excavation National Inc., recorded at $7,667,304; Excavation filed a notice of intention on December 9, 2025, went into receivership on June 8, 2026 and assigned into bankruptcy on June 22, 2026. Ordinary creditors total $2,074,005. RBC's section 244 notices to 9403 and CSPL were waived.

Carrière Sablière Principale Lachute: from Mareva freeze to RBC's receiver
Within a week of Royal Bank of Canada having KPMG appointed interim receiver of a Lachute stone quarry and sand pit whose accounts a sealed Mareva order had frozen, KPMG shut the site down, citing its cash flow and the regulators' environmental concerns; on September 10 KPMG became receiver under s. 243 of the BIA with power to sell, a $150,000 administration charge and $225,000 of RBC interim financing, against book assets of $7,962,477 and liabilities of $15,504,286.
