The Winning Combination Inc. has been in court-appointed receivership since August 30, 2023, with Ernst & Young Inc. acting as receiver and manager under section 243 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 55 of The Court of King's Bench Act, C.C.S.M. c. C280. The appointment was made on the application of HSBC Bank Canada, the plaintiff in court file CI 22-01-34705. The Canada Revenue Agency asserts a deemed trust claim ranking in priority to secured claims, and as of September 7, 2023 the Court had approved and authorized a distribution of CAD 390,000 on account of those priority deemed trust claims, as referenced in the Receiver's Second Report dated August 29, 2023. BDC Capital Inc. appears on the service list through separate counsel. The receivership remains active.

The officer filed report no. Second Report of the Receiver. TWC's business operations remain suspended (no sales, manufacturing or shipping since receivership began), and the Receiver has substantially completed the receivership administration, with only the CRA distribution and an ongoing Health Canada litigation claim left to resolve before final discharge.
