Sirona Pharma Inc., Sunera Acreage Holdings Inc., Acreage Development Corp. and Sirona Farms Inc., which historically cultivated, processed and distributed wholesale medical cannabis, obtained CCAA protection from the Court of King's Bench of Alberta at Edmonton on November 21, 2025 in file 2503-23802, with Ernst & Young Inc. as monitor and an initial stay to December 1, 2025. The initial relief included an administration charge to a maximum of $250,000, an interim financing charge to a maximum of $280,000 for interim lender Sapphire Global Finance Corp., a directors' charge to a maximum of $100,000, and interim financing of $825,000. The Court approved a sale and investment solicitation process on May 20, 2026 and granted a reverse vesting order on July 10, 2026. The monitor reports the transaction, with Conex Services Inc. as purchaser, closed on July 24, 2026. The proceeding remains active.

Case update
Sirona Pharma: Sinclair Range says the former CRO's share ended with his work
Sinclair Range, the firm that supplied Sirona Pharma's chief restructuring officers, says the first CRO's company is owed $1,670.84 of the $24,542.72 it claims for work to January 29, nothing of $114,450 billed after Sinclair Range ended their agreement that night, and nothing of the $75,000 success fee on a $1,500,000 Sapphire facility arranged in the days that followed — and it asks for its own $21,235.30.
Case update
Sirona Pharma: after the lender and the charges, the rest goes into court
After the interim lender took $2,725,250.84 of Conex's $3.7 million, Sirona's monitor asks to pay $935,420.62 in professional charges and $30,000 to three employees, refuse the former CRO's further claims, and pay the last $20,696.46 to $135,275.84 into court for four claimants to contest.
Precedent note
On September 15 Justice Myers approved a reverse vesting order while asking whether its reasons were good ones. Across fifteen proceedings this year, the reasons filed come down to permits and licences that take weeks to a year to replace, tax losses and transfer tax, contracts needing consent, a Crown deemed trust, and buyers who would buy no other way.

Health Canada suspended Sirona Pharma's cannabis licence in September 2025 and the business stopped. The licence came back in May. The Monitor's sale process sent 113 teasers, admitted nine parties to a data room and produced no viable third-party offer — and the reverse vesting order it filed on July 6 asks the court to sell the company itself, because the licence cannot be moved.
