New Century Greenhouses Ltd., together with King Greenhouse Ltd., Sunlight Greenhouse Ltd., Universal Greenhouse Ltd., Smart Greenhouse Ltd. and Sky Green House Ltd., has been before the Court of King's Bench of Alberta since July 28, 2026 under court file 2603 08746, on an application by Farm Credit Canada, the named applicant and plaintiff. The matter remains active. The receiver has obtained a security opinion from legal counsel confirming that FCC's security is valid and enforceable. The Canada Revenue Agency has filed deemed trust class proofs of claim of $199,887.92 against New Century Greenhouses Ltd., of which $98,540.69 is employee source deductions and $101,347.32 employer source deductions, and $81,834.41 against King Greenhouse Ltd., comprising $48,379.74 employee and $33,454.67 employer source deductions. Registered subsequent encumbrancers include CNH Industrial Capital Canada Inc. under a PPSA purchase-money registration, Iron Core Mechanical Ltd. under construction lien 261 024 421, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Alberta Employment Standards and the Workers Compensation Board.
