Miquelon Meter Services Ltd. has been under court-appointed receivership in the Court of King's Bench of Alberta since September 24, 2025, when Royal Bank of Canada obtained the appointment of KSV Advisory Inc. as receiver and manager under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 13(2) of the Judicature Act. The proceeding, Court file 2503-18914, also names Blake Patras and Theresa Patras. In its First Report, dated December 3, 2025, the Receiver reported cumulative receipts of CAD 511,358, professional fees of CAD 124,925 and cash on hand of CAD 243,116, and recommended liquidating the company's assets through an auction after a sale process with several interested parties failed. Two further orders were pronounced on December 10, 2025.

First Report of the Receiver reported limited continued operations, all but one employee terminated by October 9, 2025, receivables and project inventory realized, an unsuccessful sale process, and recommended auction through McDougall Auctioneers Ltd.

An Edmonton flow-meter fabricator founded in 2003 consented to a receivership order that took effect only when RBC filed a certificate, which the bank did after the company's own sale drew one non-binding letter of intent. The court approved an auction, and on September 21, 2026, a registrar adjudged the company bankrupt on RBC's application.
