Manitok Energy Inc. and its subsidiaries Raimount Energy Corp. and Corinthian Oil Corp. each filed a notice of intention and were deemed bankrupt on February 20, 2018, with Alvarez & Marsal acting as bankruptcy trustee in place of FTI Consulting Inc., the proposal trustee. A receiver is also in place and has reported on the companies' affairs under court files 25-2332583, 25-2332610 and 25-2335351. The last public disclosure, the 2017 third quarter financial statements, showed oil and gas properties at a net book value of approximately $202 million, a decommissioning liability of $105 million and secured debt of approximately $71 million; the Receiver has not audited or verified those figures and states they do not represent realizable values. National Bank of Canada is identified as the lender under the loan documents. Freehold Royalties Partnership's production volume royalty remains contested.
