Light Speed Logistics Inc., a transportation and logistics company specializing in the refrigerated transport of perishable food throughout North America, has been in a court-appointed limited receivership since December 8, 2025, when the Court of King's Bench of Alberta appointed Ernst & Young Inc. receiver over equipment financed by National Bank of Canada on the bank's application under section 243(1) of the BIA and section 13(2) of the Judicature Act. The bank's secured claim is recorded at US$9,046,358.39. The Receiver has secured 135 of 275 NBC Trailers, obtained a valuation and insurance, and pursued equipment seized by third parties including Adept, Nishan, Guru Kirpa, Ascent and C. Keay. An Invitation for Offers produced a superior offer from McDougall Auctioneers Ltd., approved February 5, 2026, with the auction to close on or about May 14, 2026. Court file 2501-19759.
