Independent Renewable Resources Corp. and Independent Energy Holdings Inc. have been under court-appointed receivership in the Court of King's Bench of Alberta since November 13, 2025, when KSV Restructuring Inc. was named receiver and manager on the application of Cortland Credit Lending Corporation under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 13(2) of the Judicature Act. The Echo Refinery has continued to operate under Hausen's direction with the Receiver's oversight.
