CYMI Canada Inc. filed a notice of intention to make a proposal under section 50.4 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act on May 12, 2026, and the proceeding remains active. As at June 2, 2026, the company reported approximately CAD $24.4 million in liabilities on a single-entity, non-consolidated basis, drawn from its books and records, and stated that it has no secured creditors. No total assets figure is given; assets are described only qualitatively, comprising roughly $4.5 million in non-current receivables from Mosaic, a joint venture interest, an arbitration counterclaim, minor receivables and a small cash balance. The $24.4 million excludes a disputed claim asserted by BNA of approximately US $29 million, carried at $1.00 on the initial creditors list pending resolution; CYMI is being sued in the same pending arbitration for more than CAD $30 million. CYMI Spain made a precautionary PPSA registration the day before the filing in anticipation of proposed DIP financing.
