West Village General Partnership and eight affiliated entities were placed into court-ordered receivership by the Supreme Court of British Columbia on May 5, 2026, under court file S260914. Bank of Nova Scotia holds an estimated secured claim of $29,319,345 as of December 4, 2025, with per diem amounts after that date not included; Banyan Pacific Financials Inc. also holds security in an amount the Receiver lists as unknown. The Canada Revenue Agency and the City of Surrey appear as unsecured creditors with claims stated as unknown. As at May 29, 2026, the Receiver reported unaudited total assets of $62,296,000 for West Village Parcel 6, 7, and 8 Holdings Ltd. alone, based on BC Assessment data rather than fair market value, with a books-and-records review still in progress.
