TrendiTech Inc. has been in court-appointed receivership since August 17, 2023, when the Supreme Court of British Columbia appointed Crowe Mackay & Company Ltd. as receiver under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act on the application of the Herbert S. Madan Revocable Trust, Fakhoury Family Limited Partnership and VP 310 LLC, secured creditors who also funded the receivership through a third-party retainer. Delgate Logistics Ltd. asserts a possessory lien for $145,330.27 over 19 SVMs and pureed product inventory, and Innovative Vending Pty Ltd. one for US$190,554.48 over 30 SVMs held in China. The receiver disclaimed the company's 2019 Ford Transit Van for want of equity and returned it to Royal Bank of Canada, whose September 1, 2023 payout statement showed $48,456.52. Six former employees have filed proofs of claim of $56,408.82.
The Supreme Court of British Columbia appointed Crowe Mackay & Company Ltd. receiver of TrendiTech Inc. on the application of three secured creditors, opening the receivership in court file S235649.
