Stateview Group of Companies has been in court-appointed receivership since May 18, 2023, when the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) appointed KSV Restructuring Inc. receiver and manager on the application of Dorr Capital Corporation under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, under court files CV-23-00698637-00CL and CV-23-00699067-00CL. A statement of affairs for Stateview Homes (On The Mark) Inc. as at September 25, 2023 reports assets of $14,375,000.00, consisting entirely of accounts receivable, against liabilities of $42,173,834.65 and a stated deficiency of $27,798,834.65, with KingSett Mortgage Corporation secured for $14,375,000.00. By order dated March 19, 2024 the Court authorized the Receiver to terminate and disclaim all Stateview Homes (Elm&Co) Inc. pre-sale purchase agreements, sending purchasers to Tarion Warranty Corporation's deposit insurance program. The receivership remains active.
The officer filed report no. Fourteenth Report. NAO2's real property was sold on February 28, 2024 and the receivership is substantially complete; remaining steps are a small lien-claim payment to GEI and a final distribution to the secured lenders before the Receiver seeks discharge.

Case update
Stateview Homes: the last property unsold, and two discharges opposed
Three years after its first offer deadline, Stateview's Stouffville land is still unsold; on August 6 the court let the receiver borrow up to $1 million ahead of the five mortgages on it. In the bankruptcies of the group's principals, Carlo and Dino Taurasi, the trustee has given notice it intends to oppose both discharges.
