Rexig Realty Investment Group Ltd., EFC Capital Inc. and Rexig Marketing Ltd. have been in court-appointed receivership since October 31, 2025, when the Ontario Superior Court of Justice appointed KSV Restructuring Inc. receiver and manager on the application of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act. CIBC, whose cross-guaranteed indebtedness stood at $4,844,226.36 as of October 21, 2025 plus unposted accrued interest, fees and enforcement costs, holds first-ranking mortgages over the Bristol Circle units, general security agreements from each debtor and general assignments of rents. Ranking ahead of the bank are property tax arrears of approximately $174,321 and condominium lien claims of approximately $91,097. Approximately $86,000 of commissions sits in an account frozen by RECO order, most of it owed to third-party brokers.
