OverviewSummary updated

Living Beachside Development Limited Partnership, together with Sunny Beach Motel Inc., Port Capital Farms (Beach) Inc. and three PortLiving Farms Parkview investment companies, has been under court-appointed receivership since January 30, 2023, when the Supreme Court of British Columbia appointed MNP Ltd. as receiver and manager on the application of 1351486 B.C. Ltd. under BIA s. 243 and provincial Judicature Act authority, court file S229506. The receivership covers the Beachside Motel, Sunny Beach Motel and Waterfront Inn. As at March 1, 2023, secured debt of Portliving Farms (3648 Parkview) Investments Inc. and Sunny Beach Motel Inc. totalled $10,827,000, comprising $6,500,000 owed to 1341550 B.C. Ltd. and $4,300,000 to 1351486 B.C. Ltd., each on mortgage and general security, plus $27,000 in City of Penticton property taxes. Assets of those two companies were described as a 22-unit motel, with estimated realization unknown. The companies did not provide a list of unsecured creditors; the receiver compiled an estimate from limited information as at March 6, 2023.
