MBM Copiers Ltd., 385367 Alberta Ltd. and MBM Real Estate Ltd. have been in receivership since June 16, 2020, when the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta appointed MNP Ltd. as receiver on the application of Royal Bank of Canada under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 13(2) of the Judicature Act, in court file 2001-07145. The receivership remains active. On an estimate drawn from the three companies' 2018 financial statements, consolidated assets stood at $3,171,107, against an estimated $3,110,515 owed to Royal Bank of Canada as at the appointment date. The Canada Revenue Agency and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo are also recorded as holding security, each carried at a nominal $1.00. Other creditors identified by the receiver include Cooper & Company at $18,292.02, ADT Security Services Canada Inc. at $1,732.56, Imperial Oil at $1,594.59, Direct Energy at $403.82, the Workers Compensation Board of Alberta at $148.75 and Shaw Cable Systems at $141.59.
