Fitz Flooring Ltd., an Alberta company, was placed in court-appointed receivership on August 12, 2016 under BIA s. 243 and provincial Judicature Act authority, on the application of Bank of Montreal, which had filed a statement of claim at the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta on August 10, 2016 and claimed $495,469 secured by registrations on the Alberta Personal Property Registry. The Receiver reported property with a book value of $2,441,085, drawn from the company's records as at August 12, 2016 for accounts receivable and work in progress and as at May 2016 for other assets, cautioning that realizable values would differ, possibly materially.
