Coquitlam Express Autobody Ltd., Absolute Auto Ltd., As New Autobody & Glass Ltd. and Spruce Grove Express Autobody Ltd. have been in court-appointed receivership since June 4, 2024, when the Supreme Court of British Columbia appointed MNP Ltd. as Receiver on the application of Royal Bank of Canada under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 39 of the Law and Equity Act, in file VLC-S-S-242502. RBC asserts $4,262,938 under a general security agreement, Color Compass Corporation $750,000 against personal property, and the Government of Alberta $10,211 under a vehicle writ of enforcement. Claims of unknown amount are registered by 9859870 Canada Inc., Bank of Montreal, Fraser City Motors Ltd., RCAP Leasing Inc. and the Ministry of Finance BC, the last for an unpaid wages lien. The Receiver has not yet received the Companies' records and holds no appraisal of the assets. The receivership remains active.
