CHG Canadian Holdings Inc. and Planta Queen Inc. have been in court-appointed receivership in Ontario since May 19, 2026, under section 243 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and provincial Judicature Act authority. The proceeding follows demands by Royal Bank of Canada, which issued demand letters and notices of intention to enforce security under BIA s. 244 dated November 7, 2025. As of November 4, 2025, RBC recorded $945,579.99 outstanding on the credit facilities, comprising an operating facility of $929,472.24 under the CHG credit agreements, guaranteed by Planta Queen, and a credit card facility of $16,107.75 under the Planta Queen credit agreement, guaranteed by CHG. RBC holds general security agreements dated April 1, 2020 over all present and after-acquired personal property, equipment, inventory, accounts and book debts of both debtors and of corporate guarantors Temperenceco Inc., 2 Temperenceco Inc. and Thunder Alley Group LP 1, each of which guaranteed the facilities under guarantees and postponements of claim dated April 1, 2020. The matter remains active.
