Cheema Carriers Corp. and 1000083465 Ontario Inc. were placed in court-appointed receivership on February 18, 2026 under section 243 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, on the application of Bank of Montreal. BMO's demand letters put the debtors' joint and several indebtedness at $10,555,140.14 as at April 17, 2025, a multi-currency total including US$10,600.91 and comprising the Cheema revolving and card facilities and an 8,497,156.55 mortgage facility owing by 465 Ontario. The bank holds general security agreements over substantially all personal property of both debtors, a charge registered February 1, 2022 against 860 Progress Court, Oakville, and guarantees from Baseerat Mansoor, Faraz Elahi and Naila Ejaz.
