2418381 Alberta Ltd., operating as Alberta Marine, and 612578 Alberta Ltd., operating as Western Recreational Products, have been in court-appointed receivership under s. 243 of the BIA since July 17, 2025, and the proceeding remains active. Wells Fargo Capital Finance Corporation Canada holds first-in-time general security over Alberta Marine's assets, with a balance of approximately $718,208 as of July 2025 per the Affidavit of Rick Kanabar dated July 4, 2025, interest accruing at no less than 18% per annum, plus serialized security over eighteen boats. BDC's statement of claim filed July 11, 2025 puts its second-ranking exposure at $3,600,000. Automotive Finance Canada and Northpoint Commercial Finance Canada have discharged their general security.
