15 Simcoe Street North Oshawa Ltd., 38 Simcoe Street South Oshawa Ltd., and 2219137 Ontario Limited

15 Simcoe Street North Oshawa Ltd., 38 Simcoe Street South Oshawa Ltd. and 2219137 Ontario Limited have been under court-appointed receivership in Ontario since January 22, 2026, under s. 243 of the BIA and provincial Judicature Act authority. The receiver has been unable to access the books and records of 15 Simcoe Street North Oshawa Ltd. to estimate asset values, and has carried cash and the land and building at nominal $1 placeholders. Creditor claims against that entity listed in Appendix A total $1,501,504, comprising $1,491,465 secured and $10,039 unsecured. The largest is Equitable Bank, owed $1,471,593 in principal and interest as at December 3, 2025 on a charge against the property, followed by a City of Oshawa property tax lien of $15,839 per a tax certificate dated August 8, 2025, and a $4,030 construction lien registered by Weekes Engineering Incorporated on December 20, 2023.
