Outcome brief

Zonix Homes: the tower site goes to a receiver after three adjournments

On October 15, Justice Steele appointed TDB Restructuring Limited receiver over about 2.3 acres in Markham planned for two condominium towers, on second-ranking lender Cameron Stephens' application. In September the respondents' counsel had agreed that the application would proceed unopposed if the buyer's financing condition was not waived, unless the lenders agreed otherwise. The condition expired on October 9.
