Wynn Realty Corporation was placed into receivership on October 25, 2023, when the Ontario Superior Court of Justice appointed Grant Thornton Limited receiver under section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act. Courtney Simpson advised the receiver that, apart from proceeds from the sale of Wyndance, the company and the Simpsons had no other assets. The receiver reported identifying no secured creditor claims against the property or funds, other than a mortgage on Wyndance that had already been paid out on closing before the receiver's involvement.
