Vital Properties Inc. and Vital Medical Group Inc. have been in court-appointed receivership since May 27, 2025, when the Ontario Superior Court of Justice appointed MNP Ltd. as receiver on the application of National Bank of Canada under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, in Court File No. CV-25-00099872-0000. The bank appointed under a mortgage/charge dated February 27, 2023 and a general security agreement dated February 8, 2023, and was owed $3,700,000 by Vital Properties Inc. as of the appointment date. Other security registered against the property at 380 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa includes claims of $300,000 by Skyline Commerical Real Estate Holdings Inc., $180,000 by the City of Ottawa and $25,718 by the International Airport Authority. The receiver's Form 87 statement, as of June 12, 2025, lists further creditors of Vital Properties Inc., the largest being Sante Medical at $98,615 and Inside Edge Properties Ltd. at $64,014. The receivership remains active.
Court-appointed receivership over both companies commenced by order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, made Tuesday, May 27, 2025, under BIA s. 243 and provincial Judicature Act authority.
