1680 Brimley: the same $500,000, the receiver now accepts

Justice Dietrich's October 19 endorsement records the receiver's acceptance that about $16 million of transfers to Hansalex amount to the same $500,000, circled repeatedly. Hansalex agreed to explain that $500,000, and back up about $9 million more, by November 2; the receiver agreed to withdraw its motion without prejudice, and Kroll was appointed to image the respondents' servers.

1680 Brimley: the liens get a bar date, the CMHC question waits

On September 18 Justice Dietrich gave the five construction lien claimants against 1680 Brimley Road, who had registered $4,166,612.41 of liens, until October 31 to prove their claims, and approved the receiver's activities except its handling of two CMHC insurance certificates for $376.7 million and $446.3 million, which the developer says the receiver let lapse. The two orders signed that day do not deal with the sale process, the $24.9 million Hansalex claim or the servers.

1680 Brimley: the receiver wants the $24 million back

A $70 million land loan on 4.42 acres in Scarborough, approved for four towers and 1,591 units. When the receiver was appointed it found an open excavation with no insurance on it, books and records it still has not been given, and $24 million that had left the debtor's bank accounts for a related company before the proceedings began.
