SAI Energy Inc. is the subject of a court-appointed receivership in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List), begun when Bank of Montreal applied on August 16, 2019 under section 243 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. B-3 and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C.43, in court file CV-19-625674-00CL. The receiver was appointed on October 28, 2019. A tentative list of creditors prepared by the receiver puts Bank of Montreal's secured claim at approximately $2,982,500, GS Bunny Investments Inc. at approximately $600,000, the Township of Puslinch at approximately $53,330 and the Canada Revenue Agency at approximately $20,000. The Canada Revenue Agency and Sandeep Kayr Chahal are also named as unsecured creditors.
