Perth "Major" Outfitters Inc. was placed in court-appointed receivership by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on December 10, 2025, on the application of The Toronto-Dominion Bank under subsection 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act, with MNP Ltd. appointed receiver and manager (Court File No. CV-25-00101002-0000). TD's indebtedness crystallized at $941,206.25 as of February 20, 2024 per a February 27, 2024 demand letter, comprising $843,744.01 of principal across two small business loans and an operating line and $97,462.24 of interest, secured by general security agreements dated June 16, 2020 over all assets, a collateral mortgage in the principal amount of $796,080.00 registered against the property, and a general notice of assignment of rents. The Town of Perth certified municipal tax arrears of $13,768.91 as at May 7, 2025.
Notice of Application dated August 27, 2025 opened the matter in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice under court file CV-25-00101002-0000.
