Filing brief
Medulla & Co.: a receivership 'only marginally over the line'
On October 14 Justice Dunphy put the company that ran an upscale Yorkville hair salon into receivership on Equitable Bank's application, calling the case "only marginally over the line." The endorsement says the judge is "increasingly worried" by lenders' reliance on the remedy when private sale, summary judgment or writs of possession are open to them.
