Liquibrands Inc.

Liquibrands Inc. has been under court-appointed receivership in Ontario since December 4, 2014, when the Ontario Superior Court of Justice appointed BDO Canada Limited as receiver on the application of 8527504 Canada Inc. under section 243 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act. The proceeding carries court file number CV-14-10543-00CL and remains active. The applicant is also the debtor's secured creditor, owed $3,075,261 as at the date of appointment, and the receiver identifies it as the only creditor holding security on the property. The receiver reports the estimated value of that property as unknown, the estate consisting of an interest in a chose of action and shares of a bankrupt. The matter has also come before the Court of Appeal for Ontario.
