Lion Force: the receivership stay catches the debtors' own NOIs
On September 29 Justice Dietrich held that the stay in Lion Force's receivership order, worded like the Commercial List model order, reaches the debtors' own NOIs and a bankruptcy that follows them, then lifted it so the NOIs could continue. She approved a sale process for the Brampton property, with bids due November 16.
Case update
Lion Force: a 10-day CCAA stay refused, and some 70 trailers in Texas
On May 15 Justice Myers dismissed the Brampton trucking group's CCAA application, which sought a 10-day stay and a $2 million priming DIP on less than 24 hours' notice, and appointed Fuller Landau receiver on RBC's application. On August 26 a Houston bankruptcy judge recognized the receivership, reaching trailers, receivables and a U.S. bank account.
