Hematite Group's CCAA proceedings in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, commenced September 18, 2020, are closed. The List of Known Creditors compiled as at that date reported total secured claims of CAD 35,261,231.61 and total unsecured claims of CAD 24,018,213.69, for total known creditors of CAD 59,279,445.30 on the document's own totals, together with an unquantified category recorded as "ALL EMPLOYEES UNKNOWN". The largest secured positions were Toronto-Dominion Bank at CAD 14,488,068.00, KeyBank at CAD 7,616,087.24, Engs Financial at CAD 3,781,009.02 and the Business Development Bank of Canada at CAD 2,620,488.00; most other secured entries were lessors. On the unsecured side, Majestic Industries, LLC was listed at CAD 4,643,134.15 and Advanced Interior Solutions, Inc. at CAD 1,593,107.27, alongside intercompany balances including CAD 4,078,366.10 owing to Hematite Manufacturing Inc. Crown and statutory claims included the Receiver General at CAD 230,814.56 and WSIB at CAD 13,701.72.
