Curry's Art Store Limited o/a Curry's Artists Materials and Curry's Artists' Materials

Curry's Art Store Limited, operating as Curry's Artists Materials and Curry's Artists' Materials, has been in court-appointed receivership in Ontario since August 11, 2025, on an application under section 243 of the BIA and provincial Judicature Act authority. The Toronto-Dominion Bank, the first-ranking registered secured creditor, holds a general security agreement dated May 6, 2003 and a first-in-time PPSA registration against all collateral other than consumer goods, plus a second-in-time registration against accounts. TD issued a demand letter on April 16, 2025, and a notice of intention to enforce security put the indebtedness secured at $640,698.50 as at that date. At June 26, 2025 the operating loan stood at $630,000.00 principal plus $9,031.62 interest, totalling $639,031.62, with a separate USD facility balance of US$216.86. The debtor's sole shareholder, 532981 Ontario Limited, holds a third-in-time PPSA registration.
