Coopérative d'habitation Villerose (Montréal) has been in court-appointed receivership since 7 July 2026, on proceedings before the Superior Court of Québec under section 243 of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and provincial judicature legislation. The receivership was sought by the Société canadienne d'hypothèques et de logement, which is owed $341,962 as of the possession date, secured on the immovable at 8053-8059 rue Saint-Denis in Montréal (lot 3 454 143). Caisse populaire Desjardins St-René-Goupil holds security over the same immovable for $123,287 as of that date. The receiver's notice and statement records that the co-operative has no creditors beyond those two secured claims, and reports no unsecured creditors. The proceeding remains active.
