Charitable DAF HoldCo, Ltd has been in insolvency proceedings since 24 July 2025, and the matter remains active. On an unaudited entity-level assessment as at 31 March 2026, the JOLs concluded the company was solvent on a balance-sheet basis, assuming its contingent Claims/Fund interest — valued between approximately US$269 million and US$292 million — is taken at full contingent value, but insolvent on a cash-flow basis at the commencement of the proceeding. The other assets are the Hueston Retainer of approximately US$150,000 and US$5,789 of surplus voluntary-liquidation cash. Liabilities include pre-appointment claims by Grant Scott (US$5,285.36, reduced by agreement) and Mark Patrick (approximately US$741,981.12, unassessed), alongside post-appointment costs of approximately US$2.25 million in JOLs' remuneration, approximately US$5.51 million in Cayman legal fees and taxed adverse costs of US$542,664.45 to DFW and US$674,744.57 to Mr Patrick.
