Centreville Homes (Essa Road) Inc. and related debtors have been in court-appointed receivership in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice since April 9, 2025, under BIA s. 243 and provincial Judicature Act authority, in Court File No. CV-25-00736332-00CL. Three property-holding debtors are involved: the Essa Debtor, Centreville (Shelburne) Inc. and Centreville Homes (Pickering) Inc., each having granted first- and second-ranking charges over its property together with general security over its personal property. The Essa first mortgage, a $2,460,000 interest-only advance made in March 2020, is held by a syndicate of 20 individual and corporate lenders. Payout statements for the Pickering Debtor as of September 2, 2025 show $5,159,349.39 owing on the first-ranking Rescom and Canadian Western Trust loan and $582,024.89 on a second-ranking RCMF Mortgage Investments Inc. loan; Richard Goldberg, who controls the stalking horse bidder and purchaser, holds beneficial interests in both. The receivership remains active.
