Cacoeli Asset Management Inc., together with other respondents named in the proceeding, is subject to a court-appointed receivership sought by the Ontario Securities Commission under section 129 of the Securities Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. S.5, as amended, in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List). A receivership order was made April 30, 2021, under court file CV-21-00661458-00CL, and a further receivership order was made June 5, 2025, under court file CV-25-00736396-00CL. Grant Thornton Limited and PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. have both served as receiver and manager, and Justice Cavanagh, Justice Osborne and Justice Steele have presided over the matter, which remains active in Ontario.
