Best Made Toys International, ULC, Best Made Toys LLC, Best Made Toys Global Enterprises Limited and Best Made Toys Holding LLC

Best Made Toys International, ULC, together with Best Made Toys LLC, Best Made Toys Global Enterprises Limited and Best Made Toys Holding LLC, was placed in court-appointed receivership on April 25, 2019 in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) under file CV-19-00618506-00CL, in proceedings brought by Bank of Montreal under section 243 of the BIA and provincial Judicature Act authority. The receivership is closed. A Form 78 Statement of Affairs for the ULC alone, sworn December 19, 2019 by DRI as Receiver and Manager, reported liabilities of $41,456,447.87 against assets of $3,799,171.56, consisting of $3,552,942.56 in cash and $246,229.00 in good accounts receivable, leaving a deficiency of $37,657,276.31. Bank of Montreal's secured position carried an unsecured shortfall of $17,449,485.44. A bankruptcy assignment for the ULC was filed December 20, 2019, with Deloitte Restructuring Inc. as trustee, Estate No. 31-2599042.
