As at the date of the deemed assignment, the estate's assets carried a declared book value of $279,579 against an estimated realization value of $280,488, while provable claims declared totalled $1,331,829, comprising $406,617 secured and $925,212 unsecured; claims of $411,841 had been received to date, $181,521 of them secured and $230,320 unsecured. Three secured creditors are identified: Banque du développement du Canada at $231,420 and Fonds de développement économique Laprade-Drummond Inc. at $155,151, each holding a movable hypothec on the universality of corporeal and incorporeal movable property, and Caisse Desjardins de Drummondville at $175,197 on receivables. KRB Avocats has been mandated to opine on the validity and opposability of those security interests. The syndic anticipates no distribution to unsecured creditors, secured claims exceeding realizable asset value.
