2710654 Ontario Inc. has been in court-appointed receivership since November 28, 2024, when the Ontario Superior Court of Justice appointed MNP Ltd. as receiver over its Property on the application of Paradise Media, Ltd. under section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and section 101 of the Courts of Justice Act. The order granted the Receiver and its counsel a first charge on the Property for fees and disbursements, to be determined on a passing of accounts, and authorized borrowings of up to $250,000, or a greater amount if further authorized, secured by a subordinate Receiver's Borrowings Charge. National Bank, holding mortgage and debt service obligations of the debtor, was given consultation and consent rights over a sale and investment solicitation process and marketing, together with priority payment of amounts outstanding as at the date of the order and ongoing monthly debt service.
