Metamore Inc. has been in a court-appointed receivership since March 17, 2026, under BIA s. 243 and provincial Judicature Act authority, over its properties at 146 Dundas Street, Deseronto and 353 Dundas Street West, Napanee, Ontario. Caisse Desjardins Ontario Credit Union Inc. holds collateral mortgages and assignments of rents registered against both properties, a general security agreement and an Ontario PPSA registration, and issued demand letters and BIA s. 244 notices on December 5, 2025. As of December 4, 2025, the Caisse reported $2,549,873.44 owing on Loan No. 84209 PR-1 and $3,000,424.10 on PR-2, with mortgage arrears stated separately at $99,844.56 and $121,153.68. Repayment is backed by personal guarantees from five directors and officers, and second mortgages held by Evangelos, Angela and Constantinos Mamas, each registered at $1,600,000, were registered without the Caisse's consent and are treated as postponed to its charges. Municipal tax certificates record $9,947.37 owing to the Town of Greater Napanee and, at Deseronto, $18,017.20 in property tax arrears plus $3,410.80 in utility arrears.
